Phantom

Phantom is one of those once in a lifetime bulls, and full sibling to Mr. Bombastic.  He posses every quality we strive for in our breeding program and will remain here as a future herd sire.

He was born 4/30/25.  He’s white, suspected chondro positive, 95+% highland, beautifully haired, perfect square head, expected to mature at 37” and he carries at least one wild type allele.

Silver Shimmer is Phantoms dam. She measured 41" at 3 years old.  She’s registered with IMCBR and coming up on four years old.  She came from (former) Cambell’s Farm of Rouge River OR and is nearly full highland.  Her sire is a registered white chondro positive bull named Hans Christian Anderson, from A Peculiar Farm, one of the oldest mini cattle farms in the US. Her dam is Glinda, and she’s a dehorned 42” full dun highland cow, also from Cambell’s Farm.  You’d be hard pressed to find a more perfect example of a mini highland than this girl.

Phantom’s sire is Ghostface Gunner, also of A Peculiar Farm.  While chondro positive, he’s 99% highland and the result of APF’s extensive breed back program dating back to 2007.  Gunner is a gorgeous white 38" bull with the most easy going temperament and excellent conformation. He’s gentle and sweet with his calves.  Like Shimmer, he carries a wild type gene and this is expressed in all of his calves with white markings.  It’s harder to see with Phantom being so white, but he appears to have a whiter patch on his head and tail.

Last year, Shimmer and Gunner produced another chondro positive bull, Mr. Boombastic,  who we also  retained. Boomer is his only full sibling.

Phantom will be registered with IMCBR.
