Ghostface Gunner – Calf Legacy

When we brought Gunner home, we knew he was something special. He was our first chondro-positive bull, handpicked after months of searching for balance: short, but not too short. Thick, but not overdone. Strong, but still graceful. In short—perfectly proportioned.

Chondro (chondrodysplasia) means he carries one copy of the dwarf gene, making him an estimated 4–5 inches shorter than he would be otherwise. But unlike some chondro bulls that throw calves with awkward frames, Gunner’s structure is balanced and consistent. That’s exactly why we selected him—and why his calves keep proving us right.

2024 Calves

  • Casper (out of Milani) – a non-chondro white bull calf we estimate will mature around 43”, mirroring the non-chondro height of both parents.
  • Boomer (out of Silver Shimmer) – a chondro-positive silver bull calf, projected to finish in the 37-38” range, small and correct in every way.

2025 Calves

  • Clover (out of Milani) – a bright white chondro-positive heifer, feminine, balanced, and beautifully coated.
  • Phantom (out of Silver Shimmer) – a bright white chondro-positive bull calf, carrying forward Gunner’s strong build, calm temperament, and legendary hair.
  • Chewbacca (out of Lorelei) – also white and chondro-positive, the pint-sized powerhouse with a champagne coat and snowy accents, instantly a fan favorite.

One thing’s for sure: Gunner stamps his calves. Nearly every one arrives with bright white splashes on the head, tipped tails, and the unmistakable “Gunner look.” Add in the fact that he’s producing about 80% chondro calves, and it’s no wonder his bloodline is already on its way to becoming legendary.

And the best part? Gunner’s story is still being written. With more pairings planned for 2026, we can’t wait to see the next generation of calves carrying his trademark look and gentle spirit.
