Frozen Tundra

Tundra is our only non-chondro bull and while he is a highpark, he's nearly full highland (99%).  In fact, his breeder thought that his sire was a pure silver highland and only realized that he was a silver tipped highpark when they got the tipped calves from him. Tundra's dam was dun. Regardless, Tundra is a specimen of a highpark bull with all that hair and only expected to reach 41" at maturity (currently 40" at 2.5 years old).  As we only had two bulls that were mature enough to produce calves in 2024, we decided to pair Tundra up with our two highpark girls from RCM; Molly and Daisy.  To our complete surprise, both calves came up solid!  Actually, Rocky appears to be brindle.  But having expected highpark marked calves, and getting two that were solid, we decided to add Snow White and Moira to Tundra's breeding group for our 2025 calves to see if we could get the super fluffy, tiny little silver tipped heifer I so dearly want to add to our breeding program.

These two little cuties are shed out in these pictures as we've had a brutally hot summer this year but mark my words, they will have some serious fluff!!
