Yukon
Yukon checks all the boxes as the perfect non-chondro mini herd sire. His gorgeous thick white coat should be legendary and he should develop into a true mini size bull. Yukon is being retained as a future herd sire at our farm.
He was born 6/1/25. He’s white, non-chondro, 99.9% highland, beautifully haired, perfect square head, expected to mature under 42” and he carries at least one wild type allele.
Snow White is Yukon’s dam. She is pure highland with AHCA bloodlines on her sires side. She measured a tiny 41" just prior to having Yukon and will be 3 years old in September. She’s registered with IMCBR and HHCA. She came from a small unnamed farm in Missouri as part of a herd dispersal by Derr Ridge. Her sire is a black tiny purebred highland, and her dam is a white purebred small midsize highland. By all color chart standards, she should’ve been dun but as you can see, she’s as Snow White as they come.
Yukon’s sire is Frozen Tundra. He came to us from a former breeder in WI. He’s 95% highland and was 41” at 3 years old. (Currently closer to 42” at 4). Frozen Tundra is one of the heaviest haired dun highparks I’ve seen and he passes that on to all of his calves. Tundra is a really nice overall bull. He’s calm and sweet with his calves. Tundra carries the wild type allele and whether it’s his high percentage highland genetics or this wild type expression, he rarely throws highpark tipped calves.
Yukon will be registered with IMCBR.
